Fremont A's Update

Apparently the land which has been purchased in Fremont for a future A's stadium belonged to Cisco systems, employees of which are highly involved in the design of a "State of the Art" baseball stadium with 40,000 seats.

According to Fremont Mayor Bill Wasserman he expects a deal with the A's before Thanksgiving.

I heard that statement from Mayor Wasserman on NPR this morning. Fremont gets attention from NPR. Awesome.

Evidently if the A's move to Fremont they'll be the Silicon Valley A's of Fremont, or something like that. Now that would suck.
